Guest guest
Personally, I did peel the carrots but if they were scrubbed well, it would be fine I'm sure. I believe the peel offers more fiber but when you juice, especially for a young child if there is much fiber (pulp) it won't get through the nipple. The thing with the carrot juice that helps is the live enzymes. By the way, the juice must be consummed immediately otherwise it turns brown which indicates that the enzymes are dying. nnu29@... wrote: > > In a message dated 7/5/00 8:52:39 PM Pacific Daylight Time, lisa@... > writes: > > << e carrot > juice starting at the age of 2 weeks and continued it for about 3 months > (just 1x/day). Guest guest
a, There is a powder made from vegetables. It is called Green Magma by Dr. Harishoma (sp?). It is mainly barley. This is also very nutritious. Definately an acquired taste thing or for someone who drinks fast. It is very nutritious. I also used this for my daughter when she would not want to eat vegetables. doshiwoo297@... wrote: > > , > Off the subject: > My Mom used to make us drink carrot juice when younger > and I never had many bowel problems. He always calmed after a BM. To this day he has a blockage in his intestines and is carefully monitored, I cleanse him really good at least once a month or he winds up in the hospital. Guest guest
Since this is grandbaby, i don't have control over what they will feed him. Parents will probably not take him off formula. Could someone perhaps recommend one of the formulas that might be gentler on baby's digestive system? Could be dairy, citrus, caffeine etc. From one who used to have IBS: circular massage of the stomach area is a major relief, but you'd need to learn to do this properly with a small baby. Hope this helps!

Guest guest
There is one herb that is supposed to help calm and improve digestion. It is mint, and I have heard of people giving mint tea to babies (cooled). It is important to note when the colic starts. I have had so many many moms with babies who have colic switch to raw goats milk and have the colic disappear, it is amazing. I saw a toddler with severe " crying " cringe and push away its bottle, and then when switched to raw goats milk the child was a new person. If the baby is breastfed, then there is something else, like something the mother is eating, or not eating. Every baby is different, and so it is hard to say what to do without more details. Guest guest
http://www.rheumatic.org/soy.htm Read about soy formula at above url. Worst one. There are goat milk based formulas, hard to find. Protein in goat milk is EXACTLY the same as human milk. Children raised on raw goat milk have higher IQ's. Carrageenan can irritate the intestines and cause colic and IBS. Almost every formula has it because it makes it smoother and easier to liquify. Soybean oil never leaves the body--also in every formula. You end up with a smaller child that when lifted feels like they have lead weights inside them. If the parents don't see an immediate change in the baby after trying the RAW goat milk they can always go back to the old stuff. POWDERED milk protein is indigestible. I am on lists with people who feed raw goat milk to human babies and I know a very old goat farmer who has 100's of happy moms who would tell you that his raw goat milk saved their babies from colic. Hope to your grandbaby, Kris Those who cast the votes decide nothing, Those who count the votes decide everything. Atlantic1@...

Guest guest
My first one started with colic at age 2 weeks. She was vxxed at 2 months. I live amongst the Plain, Mennonites and Amish. These people do not vax and yet they still deal with colic sometimes. You can even find mention of it in medical books from before vaxes. I do beleive that docs use it today as a catchall, so yes, if it starts at 2 months I would assume it is a condition caused by vaxxing. Ellen ladylumbee@... Guest guest
My son, now 7, did have quite a bit of colic, and he has never been vaxed. That doesn't mean that vaxes don't also cause it. in Calgary, Canada Colic I searched the archive for information on colic, but I only found one message that there may be a link to the vaccinations and colic. I have thought this to be true from 's experience with " colic " . She started with an extreme case when she was around 2 months old. I just have a feeling that this is another " condition " that they have made up a name for when it is actually from the vaccinations. Does anyone know of a case of colic in an unvaccinated child? Guest guest
Thank you. My doctor at the time did say that it was odd for her to start so late witht he colic, but who knows, maybe I am trying to blame everything on the vaxes. > My first one started with colic at age 2 weeks.
