I'm so sorry about your horse. It's hard when you've

had an animal for a long time and they are getting

sick from being so old.

With our disease, it does seem like our bodies are

much older than we really are. My mind feels young,

like yours. It's just my stupid body that isn't with

the program!

Take care and I hope I get to meet you someday.

Jane Anne:

Sorry you had such a rotten weekend. It is hard to put a beloved pet to sleep, or to have one die. I lost my Black labrador a few months ago, and it was tough!

I woke up this morning with a serious hitch in my "get-a-long". I am normally stiff in the mornings, but this morning, it was horrendous.

I went to a chiropractor this afternoon, and after a few cracks, grunts, and crunches, I am better, but the muscles are still sore.

Getting old sure isn't for sissies, and neither is having PLS is it?

Take care, and next weekend will be better.

BAD WEEKEND

Hi to all,

I had a horrible weekend. I lost my cat for one and a half hours. She did come back, I was ill and had to put my horse to sleep. He was old like his master. I guess this is the final step in getting

OLD. You know I told some friends

the other day. My brain feels young

it just the rest of me falling apart.

I to have a new exercise machine

and I will tell everyone if it works

in a month or two. I am still happy with my new scooter. I can do so many things I could not before.

LOVE TO ALL,

Jane Anne,

My husband can be a bit gruff about things. His mom didn't like pets because they were "dirty" so he really didn't have any until we got together. We recently had to put down our 14 year old dog and it really upset him. To see him visibly upset is unusual. Anyway, a couple of months later I broached the subject of another dog and he responded with, "Damn pets, I don't want any more." I said, "Oh yeah, those damn pets, they make you love them and then they leave before you're ready." He started laughing and said I'd hit the nail on the head.

I'm sorry about your horse. I put one down years ago and I know how sad it made me.

When we lost Henry, our much loved poodle, Don said he

didn't want another dog. Several months later I

overheard the UPS man talking about his dog having

puppies. They were labs and would be ready to find

new homes right about the time of our wedding

anniversary, so I decided to surprise Don with a

puppy. His son, Jim, decided to tell his dad of my

plans so I cancelled the puppy when Don said to me " I

DO NOT want a dog! If you get a dog I will have

nothing to do with it. "

When our anniversary came, I came home from work and

Don kept looking at me funny. Finally, he said (with

tears in his eyes) " Where is the puppy? " I told him

" you didn't want a puppy, you told me so in no

uncertain terms. " So then Don said " When have you ever

listened to me before? "

I gave him the phone number for the puppy and he

called immediately. We now have had Duke for 6 years

and is the love of our lives.

Jane Anne,

I am so sorry you lost your horse this way. I understand completely

the heartache of having to put a beloved pet to sleep.

I hope you can take comfort in all of the wonderful memories you

created together through the years.

I'm glad your cat came back.........Mine has come " BACK IN " even

with my asthma. just was too lonely in the house after our dog died.

Ah, animals.....I guess that's why God put them here....for us to

love.

Jane Anne,

I am sorry for your loss. I had to put my St. Bernard/Malamute to

sleep a number of years ago, I think it was the toughest thing I ever

had to do. He stuck with me through all of my trials, and made my

life better. I have many fond memories. Now I have a one year old

(tomorrow) and a 7 year old pair of golden retrievers who brighten up

every day. I have read all of the kindness and support for you in

this difficult time. I am thinking of you, too, and offer my

condolences.

Peace to you.
