Steel cutting oats

Hi all,

I am new to this group (but I have had a copy of NT for quite a while

and have been using it a lot).

I like to start my breakfast with porridge, and I find that steel cut

oats make the best porridge. However, I want to grind oat groats

myself to make steel cut oats.

So, my questions are:

(1) Can I do this using a food processor?

(2) If not, can you recommend an inexpensive (around $50) manual

grinder that would do the job? (I have looked at some grinders online,

and most, I believe, are suited for making flour and not crushed groat

pieces).

Thanks,

Boaz
