Guest guest
MVPS - article given me by my cardioloigist 1993 / Pre - EDS diagnosis > MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE SYNDROME > By W. Glenn P. Friesen > > > SKELETAL FEATURES COMMONLY SEEN > > FAINT SPELLS > > PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS > > PALPITATIONS > > FATIGUE > > BLOOD CLOTS > > THYROID PROBLEMS > > SUMMARY > Wow! Does this sound like me! All except the thyroid problems. How many people with EDS on the list have hypersensitivity to stimuli? I have a hypersensitive " fight or flight " mechanism and startle very easily. So bewary when you're around me! I come up swinging <G> with the left hook... My mind NEVER shuts down which has been commented on before by a professional. It's always in overdrive and thinking about things - worrying too about little stuff. I have learned how to meditate but don't use if very often except to help control acute pain. I am giving this article to my MD to see what he has to say about it. I'll just tell him - hey, Doc! That's me! How many other patients of yours have MVP and have these symptoms? hehehe - it should be an eye opener! Unfortunately I can't take the beta or calcium channel blockers to control the palpitations or fast heartbeat I get at times as I have a reaction to the meds. They make my heart go toooooo slow! Thanks for this great article. Too bad they didn't have a name for the syndrome at that time! Was this published in anything? I'd love to give a medical journal reference to the MD. Bonnie Heintskill PS, love all the jokes you've been sending!
