Guest guest
I am on xanax 3mgm daily and have been for 15 years. A withdrawal doctor saw me and her only way to taper was for me to stop the xanax now and start valium 30 mgm daily for 7 days. Then she wants to taper the valium 25% a week. I think that this is to fast and she will consider anything else. I have been without xanax before and I get the worst withdrawal syptoms. All typical from stoping xanax to fast. I even did what I read in the forum and Dr. Ashton's withdrawal quide and made out a withdrawal schedule. She called another doctor and a psyciatrist to " consult " with her and finally, asked me if I wanted to follow a computer article or withdraw with her schedule. The other doctor's basically treated me as if I just being stubborn. Help please. I am not sure where to go from here, although I am in San Diego and can try UCSD's staff. Thank you. ** Just insist on what you want. It's your body so it's your respondsibilty ad yuor choice. Just so you know, the switchover is very difficult. I'd get down lower on the Xanax before doing this. Regards,
