Guest guest
I sauteed some shrimp, zucchini, pepper, mushrooms and tofu. It wasn't bad, but needed a different spice, as the tofu didn't pick up enough flavor I think. It was the first time I tried tofu, and it's weird. Amber L. Bend, OR What's for Dinner? Guest guest
Tonight we had hamburgers. Dh grilled them and we had the patties on 12-grain bread (1 slice cut in half for each patty) with mayo, mustard, tomato, lettuce and dill pickle slices. We're on Phase 2, so the bread was our starch for the day. Cut in half like this, we only had 1 slices for each hamburger. -- Ann You spend your life fighting dirt, and when you die they bury you in it. hayakawa@... Guest guest
Last night I brownded some ground sausage, use PAM cooking spray, then added sliced onion, cubed eggplant and some snow peas. I tossed in a splash of low-sodium soy sauce just when it was done. Would normally have a side salad with that, but just wasn't in the mood for anything else. > Oh, this is a wonderful idea... to share our menus this evening. We should do this more often. You guys provided me with lots of great, delicious and creative ideas!! > > Tonight I had a rather substantial Greek Salad (w/ olives, feta cheese, thin sliced onions). I also had a small bowl with mixed fruit (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries). > > While I am at it... I will also share my bizarre but quite yummy lunch. I had a slice of cantaloupe, a small wedge of a nectarine (don't sue me, puhleeeeze), 3 spoonfuls of shredded low-fat mazzerella cheese, two spoonfuls of peanut butter washed down with about 6 oz. milk. It sounds kinda wacky but it was quite scrumptious and very, very filling! Oopsie... no greens but dinner was almost all greens. > > I think that by sharing our respective meals in this way, it more clearly illustrates how absolutely delicious, diverse and healthy this food plan is!! Let's do it more often. > > Oh, I have lost about 18 lbs.. I did it slowly over a couple of months but that is O.K. When you are changing your entire eating- style for life, one should not feel as though they have to be in a huge rush. I have about 9lbs. more to go...woooohoooo! > I am not sure where I actually want to stop but I just know it isn't quite yet... I absolutely don't want to be a skinny minny by a long shot. Too many people get waaaaaaaaaay too carried away with this thing called weight loss... I want to be healthy with plenty to hug on me.... squish squish.. I'm in a goofy mood and so very pleased that we all found this food plan and found one another!! > > - ALice (Rockville, Md.) > Re: What's for Dinner? > > > Salad with grilled burger and green beans. > > Debbi > > > What's everybody having? > > > Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb.
