Guest guest
Are you trying to put the brakes on your wt loss? If so, there might be safer ways to do it than this. Usually we don't need help stopping the wt loss, it stops on its own soon enough. Perhaps you can wait through the " too thin " feeling? Guest guest
I don't think everybody has them but I don't think they are completely abnormal. It just feels like that, when I swallow, something is trying to push back up whatever I swallowed. Not like nausea but literally pushing. > , I haven't had my surgery yet. Congratulations. Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the other side! I hated protein shakes, too. It's hard right after surgery to find ANYTHING that will thrill you. I had a lot of problems with swallowing and having air come back up. Very uncomfortable. I found a protein that mixes well and is rather " thin " . It's called Pro Complex 55 - vanilla, from Vitalady. I use one scoop since we won't get the benefits out of more than 30 grams at a time. I add flavored water, like Propel by Gatorade with a few frozen strawberries. You could also add a half of banana. It's so good. You could add peaches, whatever you have around the house. I was a chocoholic too, but don't care for it now. That's ok, since I don't want to acquire a taste for it again. I'm afraid it could cause a set back for me so I stay with vanilla. Your taste will continue to change. It was probably 8 weeks before I got on a good program. Hopefully it will be sooner for you. As you start walking and using light weights you will get your muscles back. I do believe you need protein. A minimal of 60 grams per day. I drink three a day so I get in over 80. It will make a big difference in how quickly you heal. It WILL get better! Guest guest
Hi , I tried several protein shakes from GNC, Vitaworld, HFS, and they were all pretty nasty. Even the protein bars were GROSS. But then I ordered samples from Vitalady, and let me say that she has found the best tasting stuff. I don't even get from anywhere else anymore. The Pro-blend 55 is a good tasting protein drink, and mixes easily. I personally love the strawberry. (I was a chocoholic also), the chocolate is good also. The best chocolate is Pro Score 100, which has to be done in a blender, I do it with water and crushed iced (a bit of fat free whipped topping is wonderful added in too). It tastes pretty much like a frosty from 's. The Pro-blend 55 is a good all around shake, tastes pretty good, and is easy to mix on the run, in the car, out somewhere. Hang in there, it does get better with time. I promise. I am nearly 9 weeks out, and feel so much better. Hugs, I need some help. I HATE protein shakes, --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
