Guest guest
Hi, I was diagnosed with type 2 a year ago last Thanksgiving. Along around last Jan, I started losing weight. I have spent the most of my life with Low blood sugar, so was used to eating Snickers as an answer to my reg. lows that I had. Well, I guess it finally flipped and so I had to quit eating all that stuff I loved....chocolate, cake, cookies, pie....You know, all the good stuff. Well, as a result I have lost 43 pounds in the last year. My last blood test showed that I was running about 5 on the scale, but now my doctor is worried that I lost too much weight in a year and there must be something else wrong with me. So we are doing all the tests.......But I see reading here that some people do lose weight. I am on a Glucophage pill a nite and really try to stick to the diet. I am also wondering about what Diet Coke does to your bts? I drink it all the time and haven't noticed it sending them high. I think I sort of shocked the doctor when I flippantly said, Oh, well, at least I'll die thin! I've now got the figure that I had at 30. I realize the importance of good health, but have to admit it sure is fun buying these " skinny clothes " that I haven't worn in 30 years. " Vanity, thy name is Woman! " (my husband sure loves the new shape also)
