Guest guest
, I am having a mild bout of IBS this afternoon, for the first time in a couple of years. There's a persistent pain and indigestion in my abdomen, and nausea -- these are the classic symptoms for me. I think it may be from the pemmican I had for lunch (dried shredded beef with about 1-2 tbsp beef fat). My digestion hasn't been great when I've had something with this particular fat, or the broth I skimmed it from, but I didn't really notice until now. On Paleo I've been fine with olive oil, butter, coconut oil, fatty meat, all those things really. I thought the IBS was history. In the past I did seem to get it when I'd had fat and I was afraid I was going the way of my mother and grandmother, who both had their gall bladders removed. I'm a little unnerved by this. Do you think there's something particular in beef fat that is irritating me and which I should avoid? Many thanks, .>> ** I don't think I would let one episode alarm me. Instead, I would use it as a jumping off point for further experimentation so I can clearly understand what I am seeing. Regared,
