Hello , sorry to trouble you, especially as your'e so

busy.Just a quick question...I have been tapering the zyprexa [keeping

the zoloft at 200mg per day] by 2.5mg at a time, and have had no real

problems, so after a few weeks i discontinued the last 2.5mg and for

the first two days i felt ok. Now I feel shaky inside,my sleep has

deteriated to three or four hours, ive had headaches, fatigue and the

tinnitus ive had and got used to is driving me nuts.

The question is: are these normal reactions which i should just

get on with, or is the 2.5mg too much of a reduction?

Sorry if youv'e had to answer this question a million times.I

have discontinued many types of medications over the years, and been ok

but the antisphycotic is a new one for me.

Thanks in anticipation Jeff potts.>>

** Jeff, at some point, 2.5 mg became too large of a dose to be dropping by

(I suspect that was at about 20 mg). Since that point, you've gone too quickly.

Reinstate Zyprexa at 5 mg and see if that helps. If still not better in 24

hours, bump it up to 10 mg.

Please let me know how you make out.

Jeff, My advice to you is to follow exactly whatever says. Be VERY careful with Zyprexa, you are going way too fast with this drug, withdrawing from it quickly is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and can set you back years, I speak from experience with this nightmare of a drug, 2.5 mg is way too much for each reduction. Are you taking the Zydis? The 5 mg pill breaks up easily into quarters, I recommend withdrawing slowly from that, Best of luck, Matt McCormack jeffrey1763 wrote: Hello , sorry to trouble you, especially as your'e so busy.Just a quick question...I have been tapering the zyprexa [keeping the zoloft at 200mg per day] by 2.5mg at a time, and have had no real problems, so after a few weeks i discontinued the last 2.5mg and for the first two days i felt ok.
