Guest guest
Dear All, Warm greetings from the US. I am a doctoral candidate from Saint Louis University and have been invited to write a chapter for a book on Reproductive Health and Globalization, being edited by a team of researchers from University of Buffalo, New York. As part of the research required for this project, I am writing to invite experienced FP/RH professionals to share their insights. My chapter will primarily be focused on behavior change communication / IEC campaigns for Family Planning/Reproductive Health conducted in Uttar Pradesh since 1994 (after the ICPD, Cairo Conference). With this as the basis, I intend to examine two main issues: a) Impact of internationally-funded FP/RH communication campaigns in Uttar Pradesh, and Challenges in organizational communication faced while implementing such campaigns that involve agencies locally and from different parts of the world. This chapter is an effort, in right earnest, to inform the audience's understanding of the nature and impact of these campaigns that get implemented after months and months of coordinating, strategizing, execution and follow-up. In this vein, your candid and detailed perspectives will enrich and add to this effort immensely. I would like to invite experienced FP/RH Professionals preferably working in or around Uttar Pradesh: programmatic personnel, technical experts, researchers, and NGO staff, to share their thoughts and experiences on this issue by responding to a brief questionnaire comprising five (5) questions). You may reply to this email or write to me at: santoshvijaykumar@... at the earliest possible. Also, please feel free to indicate your preferance for anonymity that shall be duly respected in the final manuscript. I truly look forward to hearing from you. Best Regards, -Santosh. e-mail: <nash889@...>
