I have been off effexor and having trouble with diareah and stomach cramps since I went off, and also alot of leg pain. I weaned off to 37.5 mg after 5 years at 225 and one year at 150.mg. I have been totally off for 4 months now. Isn't this a bit long to still have bad cramps and diareah? And what about the leg pain..please help someone...? Why didn't anyone respond before? Thanks! I could really benefit from some caring support. >> ** Sorry, . I do the best I can. Occasionally some slip through the cracks. Then, sometimes I run out of energy and a number of posts don't get answered. No, 4 months is not to long to feel the way you feel considering whatyou've said here. You needed to continue decreasing this drug. That was too large of a dose to abruptly stop. Saying you have leg pain doesn't give me anything to go on. Is it constant? Is it worse some times than others? Describe the pain. Tell me every little detail you can think of. Do you take any other OTC or pharmaceutical drugs? How old are you? Any medical conditions? Please post a 4 day food and drink diary. Thanks. You have no way of knowing this but I had the group closed to new members and had let everyone know that they should not count on me being here. I am recovering from being seriously ill. I don't have much energy. I felt guilty about this and opened it up again to new members. I've found myself spending much more time than I feel up to spending. This is something I need to work on for myself. This group is run entirely by two people -- is a wonderful greeter and cheerleader. She'll get people focused. I take care of all the technical things. We try.
