Thanks so much for your useful comments, and .

Can this suspension in cornstarch be kept to future use or do I have to

throw away the unused amount?

,

I didn't like doing the liquid titration myself...klonopin is not soluble in

anything available in the home so it's hard to keep it evenly suspended when

mixing it.

I found a compounding pharmacist who makes a solution that is suspended so

it's very easy to use and it only costs $25 dollars to make...

I don't know if you have that option where you live but if you do it's very

nice. You do need a prescription from a doctor about how the compound should

be made.

My compound is .1 mg for each 1 ml. It allows for a very slow taper.

best to you,

Unfortunately, there are times when people have to work with what is

available even if not perfect. Using a blender with liquid and quickly

taking your dose out of it, while not perfect, usually works well enough.

You can also make a suspension which works better once you get the hang of

it.

Use 2.5g of cornstarch per 100mL of water. Mix thoroughly. Crush your

tablets as needed depending on your dose and the dose of your pills (you may

only need to crush half or a quarter of a pill.) Combine into the liquid

solution. Put in a bottle. Shake thoroughly before using. Measure out what

is needed.

Klonopin ands Xanax can also be dissolved in PEG. Here is an article on the

safety of PEG.

I don't think you need to jump through this kind of hoop until you get down

much lower.
