Sonja:

Great to hear from you and so glad things turned out for you, hope to hear some more positive news from you soon!

I too was diagnosis w/endo. back in Nov. '94 and had the lap done and was put on depo-luprin for 3 more months. It is true it can come back and I know it made me feel better to know the pain I was feeling every month was not my imagination.

I also had an hsg done in July '96 and became pg that Aug., w/the aid of clomid too. I am scheduled to have another one done this Fri., if af cooperates so maybe we'll both be celebrating by the end of Summer.

Again congrats on great news, keep it up.=)

Sonja,

I'm glad that your surgery went well, except for the endo. But maybe, like

your dr said, you will now have an easier time getting pg and have good news

soon. Maybe I should mention to my sis that your dr said it may be easier

for at least a year. It is suspected that she has endo, but won't do the

tests to be officially diagnosed bc she thinks it will be pointless. She's

not married yet, and is not planning on getting pg anytime soon (as far as I

know). But I know she wants kids, and she cried when she found out that if

it is endo she may not be able to have any on her own. I would hate for her

to give up without giving herself a chance. Anyway....

It is also really nice that the whole procedure gave you a feeling of

closure. I'm really happy for you.

Well, I'm going to go finish reading my mail, but it's nice to have you

back!!!! :o)

Hi Amy!

I've really missed hearing from you..:)

On the endo. the general belief is that if they remove all of the endo.

completely, you can have up to 2 or 3 years before it grows back, but my

doc. didn't want to get me all exited, so he said that I can definately

count on atleast one year. AF started yesterday, and I have no pain,no

cramps, only very mild bloating, so compared to having to stay in bed,and

feeling like death the first day of every AF for the past 17 years, this was

the most wonderful thing!I actually don't even mind her being here for once!

Also, it is soo mild this time that I don't have to go through 8 pads a day!

Given, the D & C probably had alot to do with that, and next AF will probably

be a bit heavier, but the difference is just remarkable.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this so you could pass it on to your sis.

tell her it really will be worth it,and once the endo. has been removed,

there should be no reason why she shouldn't be able to get pg.

take care

Sonja,

Glad things went well!

Hello out there!

Hi everyone!

Well, I'm back! Today is my first day back at work, feeling rather strange I

must say...

As you all know, I had surgery last Tuesday. I was admitted at 7 am in the

morning, and taken to theatre at about 11.00 am..by which time I was going

out of my mind!LOL. They estimated that it would take about 20 minutes, but

ended up taking about an hour. My doc. did a laparoscopy, a endometrial

biopsy, a HSG,and a D & C.... The conclusion..... I have endometriosis all

around the outside of my uterus. He cauterized it all,and said that I should

be clear for atleast a year now.(endo. does tend to grow back) Other than

that, my tubes are perfectly open, ovaries look good, so all in all, it was

all great news! I have to see him next Tuesday for the results of the biopsy

( to check my hormone levels) and for a general check-up, but I think things

will be fine.

He said that the endo. could have been preventing me from getting pg. but

now that it is gone, and with the suggestion that one tends to be really

fertile in the first 3 months after a HSG, we should get some good news

pretty soon.

I have 3 inscisions, one in my belly button, one in my side, and one on my

bikini line. The recovery has been horrid... I didn't have this much pain

even with my cesaer! I got up for the first time on Wednesday, and it was

hell! Thankfully, it is alot better now, just a bit tender still, and my

tummy looks like I am about 5 months pg! He says that is entirely normal

though, and can last another week..(just from all the prodding, and the gas

some closure with my ectopic pg. as well. I feel like I have finally closed

that part of my life, and can now move on to newer and better things. It

helped me to put alot of issues to rest.

Anyways, I have 366 emails to get through, so until I've read them all... I

hope you are all well, and to any new members, my welcomes in advance.:)

Hi Pat,

Good to hear that you are doing all right now.

Dee

Hello out there!

Gee, I was in the hospital overnight Friday and expected to see many e-mails

from the list! Only a very few! Is everyone okay?

I had an adverse reaction to a new drug the kidney doc put me on-but am okay

now.
