Guest guest
Ask yourself "What would I have eaten had I not been on SB?" Mostlikely NOT only a fruit and bread to worry about, usually only junk food at places like that. I would say you were a great role model yesterday. Good going! Thank you! You really boosted my ego/morale here. I just am new to "adding back" food in Phase 2. I most say, the apple tasted very good & sweet, and I am not a fruit eater at all. Giving this some more thought, I know exactly what I would have done...headed straight for the Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits. In the past, I've always looked for anything out of the ordinary as an excuse to totally pig out to "reward" myself. But I guess I really need to look at new ways to do that. I'm not saying that I'll never eat off-plan again, because I want to occaisionally have chocolate cake, or Shepard's Pie, or even Popeye's Chicken, but not as a reward or because I deserve it, but just because it's ok sometimes. I have to stop equating my self worth with the right to overeat. (stepping off the soapbox, or is it the therapist's couch? <grin>) Betty in RI
Guest guest
--ITA with that. As we all know, losing weight, sticking to a WOE that is more healthy and better for us requires more than just the physical aspect involved. It is such an emotional issue and sometimes those darn emotional get in the way!! Hang in there everyone and take advantage of this group to vent your frustrations. Don't take it out on yourself by trying to stuff those feelings that need to be acknowledged! signed: " Dr. Betty's " assistant LOL - In South-Beach-Diet-Getting-It-Right , ecr53@a... wrote: > > In a message dated 7/21/2004 3:10:21 PM GMT Standard Time, ecr53@a... > writes: > > Ask yourself " What would I have eaten had I not been on SB?
