Guest guest
I used to have that as well, and was told that it was dysbiosis - bad bacteria/yeast were in my gut taking the nutrients and carbs out of my food before my body got a crack at it, but when I ate I just fed them more. I've cured the dysbiosis and eat much, much less now (but haven't lost any weight! ) > > wow, i am in your same boat! i never knew anyone else who had this problem! > i have felt that way for years and believe me, i know completely the " my > stomach is gurgling and i cannot sleep " feeling! although now i can't decide > whether it is the strange phenomenon of feeling hungry ALL the time like > before he was born, or just because i am still nursing a LOT my 15 month old > and he is sucking everything out of me. i was told to eat more protein and > fat. from what you describe of your diet you probably could use more of > both. coconut oil, raw butter, more fish (i have recently taken a liking to > sardines and canned salmon mixed with mayo and brown mustard), beef with > some fat left on it, beans and rice (the rice cooked in homemade chicken > stock), raw milk (i LOVE goat milk), smoothies with whole milk yogurt and > egg yolks--if you can handle them...always eat carbs or fruit with a protein > and a fat. i don't have an answer as to what it is, but these are the > suggestions i have received. i had a hair analysis done and my adrenals were > shot so maybe that has something to do with it. just guessing. i also have > soaked oatmeal every morning for breakfast with coconut oil, butter and > nuts. that helps me get through the a.m. i also just got a liquid probiotic > i ordered and am hoping it helps. hope this helps a little! > > amanda > > > > > > I have been battling horrible horrible hunger for > the last 3 months. Guest guest
Im assuming i just eat a ton of Saurkraut then? Get as much good bacteria as i can? Will that take care of the little buggers? Assuming of course that is what it is. My stomach started gurgling non-stop, day and night, empty or full in April and contined for almost two months. I got so tired of the constant noise and bubbling - not to mention looking several months pg. In my case the diagnosis was H-pylori. cJ
Guest guest
I had an insatiable hunger for about 10 years. It was living hell. My life revolved around consuming mass quantities of food. I would eat until my stomach was physically full, but I would still be hungry. I weighed about 135lbs at 6' tall. I had severe hypoglycemia, my adrenals were shot and I had low cholesterol (around 130). My cure: Acupuncture in the spleen meridian in my ankle. It was actually more like accupressure, but all it took was one treatment. During the treatment, I felt an enormous euphoric rush blast through my body - it was unbelievable. The treatment wasn't specifically for my problems, so I continued eating mass quantities of food out of habit. About a month later I had stepped on a scale and noticed I gained 20lbs. Shortly thereafter I hit 185lbs, then I realized that treatment must've did something. So I cut back my eating and noticed that my insatiable hunger was gone and I could eat like a normal person. The last time I had my cholesterol checked it was over 200 - yippee! And my blood sugar levels were in the normal range. Guest guest
My cure: Acupuncture in the spleen meridian in my ankle. Dan Corrigan ***dan, how did you know to get this particular treatment? I went to a free Feng Shui seminar and was chatting with the instructor about NAET (an allergy elimination technique). The instructor was a Chinese doctor and he various degrees in holistic medicine. Anyway, he looked at me (almost like he was looking at my aura) and glazed down and pointed to my spleen. " You don't need NAET. You have low chi in your spleen. Just rub the acupuncture point between your thumb and first finger. " I didn't know what to make of his comment, so I went to see the three alternatives doctors that I was currently seeing. They all had different opinions on what the Chinese doctor meant. The doctor I saw had training in acupuncture and he said " The Chinese doctor must have been talking about your spleen meridian. Let me try this. " and that's when he stimulated my spleen meridian acupuncture point. So, basically that guy just randomly tried something. I didn't know how to get this particular treatment And I had know idea of what it was supposed to help, other that boosting chi or clearing a blockage in my spleen meridian. But, when he did the treatment - it was unbelievable. It took me about 5 minutes to return to earth - the euphoria was indescribable. Several years later I happened to lookup the spleen meridian. It has something to do with assimilating nutrients. It was obvious in my case, I wasn't assimilating any nutrients. I was wasting away. Hope this helps! Guest guest
, In Chinese medicine the spleen and stomach meridians are both in the earth element. Learned that when I had acupuncture for earth deficiency. A good practitioner can see a color or characteristic of an element by looking at someone, With earth the color is yellow. Don't have the book handy my acupuncturist suggested to answer my questions to give you any other examples of what the man could have seen looking at Dan. An experience I had during a treatment was seeing a yellow streak over the top of my foot appear and disappear. My acupuncturist said he'd never seen before in anyone during treatment and was relieved I saw it too. Guest guest
Thanks Wanita =o) I find it all very interesting and intriguing. That's funny that your acupuncturist was relieved he wasn't the only one seeing the yellow streak . I wonder where one goes to find a very good practitioner. Word of mouth I expect and even then its hit and miss.
