Guest guest
, I am unable to access the first link for some reason. I found the second one fascinating. I also note it says near the bottom that taking individual amino acids can throw the biochemical balance off. These are widely available in health food shops now and I imagine someone who didn't know what they were doing could make themselves very ill. I have been researching serotonin, insulin, estrogen as you suggested, and came across some info that said that only 1% of serotonin acts as a neutrotransmitter; the rest acts throughout the body as a hormone. I never knew that. The people who produce meds that muck around with the stuff ought to know as well. I keep finding articles where the researchers are in love with biological psychiatry and the serotonin " hypothesis " about depression. It's scary. Thank goodness I couldn't find a contraceptive pill that " worked " for me when I came to the UK 13 years ago, or I might have stayed on it most of that time. Many thanks for the info -- can anyone else access the first link? Is it just my computer misbehaving? .
