I have no ideas on how to fix this. Just wanted to let you know that my

tib and fib do this. Extremely painful. I use heat to relax the muscles

and then manipulate it all back into place as well as I can. If it

happens at the ankle end, I splint it when it is reset, but I don't have

any knee splints to immobilise it at the knee if that is the end that

has dislocated. <shrug> Once it is all back in place (or near enough)

elevation and ice should help with the swelling. Not terribly helpful,

but you are definitely not alone.
