I've been wondering about this as well! The info on the packet says that it

has so many trace minerals. But then in the NT book it gives warning about

salts mined from places where there might be contamination (as in Utah = nuclear

testing).

Also, I just started taking Contentrace liquid minerals. Any suggestions on

how to mask the strong metal aftertaste? I tasted it for a couple hours after I

took it and I only took a third of a dose!

I can tell you it's mined in the US, has a bit of dirt/grit when you

dissolve it, seems to have comparable mineral content as Celtic Sea

Salt, with none of the controversy that it's contaminated (I don't

think the Celtic salt really is, according to the latest).

Sharon,

I did that, but in raw cows milk and it just made the milk taste metallic and

bitter. Maybe I just have to get used to it.

Also, I was dizzy after taking it.

Any ideas?

We add ours to raw goat milk. It makes the milk taste " milkier " - reminds

me of how raw cow milk tasted during my childhood.....

It needs a strongly flavored drink or food to mask it. I put it in

gatorade for the kids. It's very good for goldfish, too! :)

Hi,

I actually like the taste when I add just a splash to each glass. I

find myself craving it if I have to drink plain water.

It's high in copper. We used it for some time and my kids copper

levels were off the chart. Bad for kids with autism because it

drives zinc levels down. The doc told us to eliminate sources of

copper from our diets. The salt was probably a big contributor. We

retested a year after getting off it, and the copper/zinc ratios

were back to normal. We spend the extra money for celtic sea salt

now.

Danae,

My guess is you have an adequate-or-higher level of at least one of

the minerals in the Concentrace and dosing yourself with it gives you

a metallic taste in your mouth. This is how the " Zinc Status " and

" Zinc Tally " supplements work. Is it just you who eperiences the

Concentrace as metallic or everyone in your home--if there is anyone

else besides yourself?

It's interesting to me that it tastes metallic/bitter to you, tasty to

Sharon and craves it.

B.

I put it in empty gel capsules and take it that way. As long as none gets

dribbled on the outside of the capsule you don't taste it at all.

Hi Don,

I just checked the copper values for both. According to the sources

I used (www.realsalt.com and www.curezone.com), celtic sea salt is

lower in copper, but only by a tiny bit - .00195% vs .0028%. When I

started tracking down copper sources in our diet the info I looked

at on Redmond salt showed a higher copper level. Or so I thought.

Maybe I messed up. I didn't realize celtic sea salt had as much

copper in it as it does. Thanks for the correction.

I remember now that we had actually switched to a brand of sea salt

that is white (and therefore low mineral content according to what

I've read about sea salt) for several months after the doc told us

to get the copper out. We'd only been using celtic sea salt for a

couple of months when the boys were retested. Recently, we've been

having some regression that I've been stumped to understand. Maybe

it's the salt. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

Thanks,

Hi,

If you really don't like the taste of it and it makes you feel bad,

I'd say that's a pretty good indication that you should just not use

it. Minerals are good + it has minerals doesn't necessarily mean it's

good for you as an individual sack of novel fluids and particular

slimy parts. Your most important tool should be your intuition, not a

list of ingredients and general truisms.

For what it's worth,
