Dear ,

You said:

<<I've been on SSRI's, benzos and everything else in the book over the

course of the last 6 years and i am finally down to Lexapro, Klonopin

& Adderall. My symptons are pretty strictly related to anxiety,

stress, panic and any variation therof. I have had no real bouts with

depression, but the anxiety is debilitating.

Drugs I've been prescribed include, but are not limited to: Effexor

(300mg/day), Risperdal, Wellbutrin, Xanax, Klonopin, Zyprexa,

Lexapro...I know there are others, but I can't remember them all at

this point.

Alcohol, although not prescribed, played a major in role in self-

medicating as well, but i have been sober now for over 1 year.

The important part i guess is this. I've been titrating off of

Lexapro for 3 months. Started at 10mg/day, then 5, then every other

day, then every few days and so on. I have not taken any in 9 days. I

still take 10mg Adderall/day and 2mg Klonopin. I'm trying to get rid

of one thing at a time.

It's very hard. My life was better to a certain extent on Lexapro. I

had no feeling or emotion, no libido. That became a problem with my

wife so i decided to get off all this stuff.

Now, since i've cut back/stopped Lexapro, leaving Adderall & Klonopin

constant, i'm angry, very angry. I'm filled with hate and anger and

frustration, feelings I have not felt before.

My libido is no better whatsoever, no drive at all. I am beginning to

rethink my decision. It's almost like if i go to Starbucks and don't

get my coffee fast enough i get irrated and snappy and start

complaining...I've NEVER been like that my whole life. Why???

HELP!

** You're in withdrawal. You went off the Lexapro too quickly. Your best

bet is to get back on the last dose you were on where you felt stable. Then,

when you feel fine again, do a 10% drop of this. Then wait until you feel as

well or better than you felt prior to the decrease. This is your brain letting

you know it hasd adjusted to the last decrease. Then do another 10% decrease.

Repeat the process.

Since you've been on so many drugs, you'd really benefit from a good

supplement protocol. Do you take any supplements now? How's your diet? We

usually ask people to post a 4 day food and beverage diary.

Regards,
