Guest guest
Hello all! and Happy New Year! Last week I sent mail about the osteo arthritis in my hips and asked for any advice as to pain remedies. (Because of my OI and all the surgical hardware in my femurs, the doc says I'm not a candidate for hip replacement, and I kind of squeemish about that anyway... So I concluded I'll just have to live with the pain indefinitely... And you all know what that's like... ) Anyway, as the subject line indicates, I've found that sitting on a circular donut cushion relieves the pain! I noticed this while visiting my brother over Christmas -- how I felt free of pain when sitting on the toilet, so would spend long periods of time in the bathroom basking in the pain relief. My mother suggested I try a donut cushion and it really helps! I managed to sit in the car for 10 hours returning to NJ, with no pain in my hips! Anyway, thought I'd pass it along. --le
