HI. Thanks for the welcome it was really nice of you. I just thought I was

beigh helpful, but I see now that it would be difficult to sort all the mail.

I just cringe at the Idea of not being able to get to my mail in a few days.

Imagine how much mail that would be. I didnt really test the waters It was

more like diving in the deep end. Lol. more fun that way. Yes Im AJ's

daughter. She has been a real inspiration to me. I dont know how she

handles all the stuff she deals with, But getting the diagnosis alone is

nearly impossible, espically with doctors that have to be convinced. Ill try

to be an active part of the list. School hasnt really started yet. It will

on the 14th. Im taking mostly art and english classes. But Ill still be

busy. It is easier for my to be on the list now that Im on my own and have a

computer. Wow!! she is 20 and has two kids, and has EDS and is going to

school? She sounds really busy. Her life wont slow down for another 18

years!!! Lol.

Well take care, Jocelyn

Jocelyn, if the list volume is too much for you, you could get the

digest version. Each digest has all the included appends headers at the

top, so it is easy to see if there is anything of interest in the

digest. It cuts way back on the email volume. Or just whizz through the

appends and look at those that interest you and delete the rest. No one

will mind! We all do that if we are behind for any reason. (I'm doing

that now.) Or you can have CEDA set to no email, which removes

everything but maintains your group membership. You can still see all

emails online through Yahoo, but it doesn't clog up your in box. I have

multiple mailboxes set up on my PC and direct CEDA and other high volume

groups into those, allowing me to see specific email from family and

friends without having to wade through hundreds of posts to find them.

(I use this for spam, too.) If you want to do this, tell us what

software you use, and one of us will know what you need to do to have

multiple mailboxes.

Good luck with college. Enjoy the learning while you have the time,

health and the lack of other commitments to do so. Due to my EDS, OA,

etc. deteriorating, it took me seven years to get my MSc. (I completed

my BSc in the normal amount of time.) I still hope to do my PhD at some

point, but I don't know if my health will ever be good enough such that

I can so. If I am too unwell to work, I am definitely too unwell to

consider doing a PhD. With luck, you will never get this bad. It seems

that only a small percentage of EDSers get this bad. Of course, the

osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis all play their

part. (Anyone want any of these? You know how I love to share!)

Grab life with both hands and enjoy it! Especially the learning. I have

to admit that I am jealous. <hangs head in shame>
