Guest guest Posted December 30, 2001 Report Share Posted December 30, 2001 Ina: WHy don't you try some Benadryl? Maybe what you have isn't cellulitis but a delayed allergic reaction. A couple times I've thought I've had cellulitis and the doc has gotten me to take Benadryl for one dose (50 mg) then if there is no change to go ahead with the antibiotics. Or maybe you have cellulitis AND an allergy problem. What you have from the cat scratch could be either. I have gotten hives around a cat scratch before and cellulitis from it before too.
