Guest guest
I watched this again last night with Rod. He had heard what I'd said about it, and decided to watch too. The doctor made it sound like there isn't a problem with lax joints. So many of the things remind me of my sister and I doing these positions for fun. I thought every one could them as both sides of the family are hypermobile. I wondered too if anyone had written to TLC -- The Learning Channel stating the other side of collagen disorders with hypermobile joints, and some of the ramifications. A letter from one of the national organizations would perhaps interest them enough to do a program on it. They have covered many other genetic disorders. (I can dream, can't I?) ~~ Subject: Re: TLC...Contortionists/ question (clip) So, we watched the program. Boy, did it trigger memories of some of the things I could do in phy ed class! Yikes! Has anyone written The Learning Channel to explain what a injustice to EDS this show is? Shall we start a writing campaign to let them know about the effects EDS has on our bodies? Guest guest
Sadly, TLC did approach the national organizations before the show aired and I have to assume that they didn't want that information to overshadow their focus of the show. Most irritating!!!!! Jill I wondered too if anyone had written to TLC -- The Learning Channel stating the other side of collagen disorders with hypermobile joints, and some of the ramifications.
