I'm stalled at 153..Haven't gone up or down in days.

I spoke too soon! This morning I weighed 152. I have another question. I gather that it's the combination of the carbs & proteins that help the weight loss. So if I eat supper, and then a little while later, say 1/2 hour to an hour I'm hungry again (or still), and I want to eat more vegetables, can I do that? Or if I want to have a little more meat? Would I have to have more of everything, so as not to screw up the balance?

> how long are you suposed to be on phase 2 for?

Until you reach your goal weight. Then you go to Phase 3, maintenance.

Today was a difficult eating day for me because I was at an all day seminar and ate at a food court. The day started off wrong because I was running late, so I skipped breakfast, except coffee with skim milk. At the seminar, I had another 1/2 cup of coffee with half and half (just a tad). We didn't get a break until 11 a.m., so I had to wait until then to eat 15 cashews from a bag I had bought at a convenience store while waiting for the bus to go to the seminar. I had a salad with chicken for lunch, but there was some kind of marinade on the chicken that may have been made with sugar, so I didn't eat all of it. I drank a couple of bottles of water throughout the day, and at 3 o'clock, I had an apple from the snacks that were provided. (I was very proud, because I turned down Pepperidge Farms Milano cookies for the apple!). It is the first fruit I've had since starting the diet. For supper I had stir fried pork, with peppers & onions on 1/2 of a whole wheat pita, broccoli and a glass of skim milk. My snack was a sugar free popsicle. I've never had fruit and a grain on the same day, so we'll see what tomorrow brings, weight wise.

Betty how long have you been in PH2? I started PH 2 with 1 fruit & 1

grain right fr the first day on PH2 I have had a steady loss. Most

days I have 2 fruits & 1 grain or startchy veg but im working on

upping my grains to 2. I have been on PH2 since the end of May I

think I should be having more PH2 stuff than im currently eating. It

I think your safe having them together on the same day. Did you get

any cravings after eating them, and splurge later on?

I guess this must be my second week on Phase 2, but it's been more like Phase 1.5. I don't know if you would call it cravings, but after eating the apple I seemed hungrier than before I ate it. That's what seems to happen: I eat, I'm full, and then minutes later, I feel like I haven't eaten at all....actual hunger pangs. That's why I asked in a much earlier post if that happens, you can have "seconds" of vegetables or protein, or if you should just ignore it. Sometimes celery does the same thing...I'm hungrier after I eat it than before. Any "cravings" I've ever had were more in my head than physically in my stomach...I would just start thinking about a binge, and next thing you know, I'm at the store stocking up on chocolate or potato chips/tortilla chips & dip. Or eating tons of pasta or Italian bread. Usually the desire was for either/or, but sometimes there would be the double whammy desire for both chocolate and starch.
