OT - Straw Bale Construction

Anyone familiar with it or have personal experience either constructing or

living in one? Wondering about the ease of learning construction

techniques, how " green " can they be built, and off-grid potential. You can

Yes, thank you. Am familiar with MEN. What I'm looking for is are real

people with hands-on that I could discuss experiences, materials, etc.

Sharon,

A large 5 bedroom house straw-baland cob house is currently under

construction at Heathcote community in land.

http://www.heathcote.org/NBWorkshops.shtml They gave us a tour a couple

weeks ago. The roof is on and limewash was in various stages of progress.

The house is beautiful and the workmanship looks top notch. The site

offers photos of the project.

You can contact the community - if you're unable tor each them for any
