He probably is. Type his name in search engines - he's a Vegan

Advocate. Here's just one of hundreds I found:

Funny - the only one of these that mentions South Beach is the Tufts article that you posted previously. After reading the first sentence, I know they didn't do a study on SB but merely read the book with their own prejudices very obvious.

I think a vast majority of us here will tell you that we are indeed never hungry and we have lost our cravings for sweets while following this way of eating.The only truth in that article is that the original book was badly edited! Yep - you got 'em there.

And please may I say loud and clear - SBD IS NOT HIGH PROTEIN, LOW CARB. I wish some of you self-proclaimed experts would either pay attention or leave it alone.

Isn’t that *the* *most*

*bizarre* thing?? I have had a slice of ‘regular’

pizza since starting SB – nada, nothing, zilch, no ‘oh my gosh I

have been missing out’. I

have also tasted cake and frosting and again nothing! Of course, there are a few things I have

heartily enjoyed as ‘cheats’ – from-scratch pancakes with fresh

peaches and fresh berries and from-scratch waffles with homemade custard and fresh

peaches and the occasional real

premium homemade ice cream. But I

am just stunned at how things that I once thought I could not live without are

now just not that important. It’s

not that they are forbidden. I

really think that I could ‘cheat’ more than I do and be

alright. I just would so much

rather have the *delicious*

less-processed foods that I’ve been eating since starting SB! I think I’ve just developed a real

taste for high-quality foods since being on SB! I am so spoiled. LOL!
