Guest guest
Hello, <<I am trying to quit taking Norco 10/325's. I was taking 8 a day, now I am taking 6. I have been on this taper for a week now and I have been depressed and anxious. Nerves bad. Heart palps occasionally; as if my hart skips a beat every now and then. Now that I am committed to just 6 a day, what should I do to take me the rest of the way? I have had to take a pill in the middle of the night the past 3 nights (to make the total actually 7) because of this horribly uncomfortable feeling in my legs and sweats. Feels like I want to crawl out of my skin, so I pop another Norco, wait a half hour and then I'm able to get back to sleep. I've also been eating Taco Bell, Chicken Soup (canned), and what bread, and also a lot of Mc s sandwiches. Could someone suggest what vitamins/supplements I should be taking to help with this most difficult time? Any help is appreciated. I can't believe I sucked up enough energy to write this. I jsut popped a Norco a half hour ago is why I guess. Thank You All, -Davie >> ** Davie, we don't normally work with this type of problem but I sene your commitment so I don't think it will be a problem. First, you're dropping too much. You've dropped too much of your dose. Go back and drop one half of one pill. Do this at bedtime. Stay with that until you feel fine again, then drop one half of your 3rd dose of the day. For food and supplements, see files on homepage http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Withdrawal_and_Recovery/files See Eating For Recovery and Basic Healing Protocol If you choose to implement this plan of withdrawal, you can take some Benedryl (2 caps 2x a day) if you find yourself with the feelings in your legs. If you decide you want to remain addressing this as aggressively as you are, you'll need a prescription for Clonidine, 0.1 mg. 2x a day, PRN. Do not go above this and do not use it unless you really need it. You should stay on it no longer than is absolutely necessary (3 weeks at most). Guest guest
Thank you for the advice. I really need to eat better too. It's so expensive to eat well it seems. I will try to ease the taper more gradually. I know now that this isn't an opiate withdrawal board, but I get a good vibe from what I've read. Thanks again. -Davie. > > Hello, > > <<I am trying to quit taking Norco 10/325's. I was taking 8 a day, now > I am taking 6.
