birth control pills (again)

Oh heck.. I read some of the archives concerning birth control pills-sounds

like a bad idea, those bc pills.

Now what do I advise my daughter? I have already advised " Wait til your

married " that is easier said than done, especially now that they are already

having sex. Condoms are great when they work. and work great when used and

used properly and consistently. I hate to have her relying on that, but I

guess, if she feels they are old enough for sex, they are old enough to be

doing it carefully and consistently every time? I just know that a

pregnancy now would send her in a tailspin that would be a long hard hike

out of.

I'd stay away from the " wait until you're married " line because this is a

cultural construct not a biological one. Biologically, her body is saying it is

ready.
