Hi all,new to group,I was wondering if anyone ever experienced

insomnia when weening off Paxil and(or)xanax? Is this common?

SAM

** It's completely normal for this to happen, Sam. Please post more details

including what period of time you have reduced the drugs and how much each time.

If you take a look at the articles in our files you'll see that if you are

dropping more than 10% at a time on these drugs, and not waiting in between each

decrease to feel as well or better than you felt prior to the decrease, then you

are going too fast and you are causing harm to yourself that will result in

being ill longer than you need to be.

Hi ,thanks for the imformation,I find the information in

your files section very informative.I have been taking Paxil & Xanax

for about 5 years.I have tried to taper but not over the kind of

time you're talking about.About a month was what I was

doing.Obviously im going to fast.Im going to have to back

up,regroup, and start over again.I didnt realize at the time I

started taking this stuff that it was my entense caffeine intake

that was causing my depression (wonder how many other people on this

list that this also aplies to)and not any need for

antidepressants.Doctors seem to neglect asking about caffeine intake

before shelling this stuff out.
