Guest guest Posted February 17, 2003 Report Share Posted February 17, 2003 -All just my 2p worth on these drugs correct me if I am wrong but Tambator or Flecanide in the UK is a Potassium channel blocker. I took this and to be honest if was like taking sweets the only thing it done for me was gave me a terrible pain in my back and I could not Breath. PROF. Hassaguire thought this was his favourite drug as there were less side effect with this. Doefetilde is also a Potassium block but more selective and I had not side effect with this and found that really worked. Sotelo is a beta bloker, dont know much about this drug that except after prolonged use it make the heart wall go thick. I could not take this drug as I have asthma. I do know that Doefetilde has taken some of the effect from these two drugs and perhaps this is why its so good in some patients. I dont know the costs but I would suspect that Tambotor is the cheapest followed by Sotelol and the most expensive is Doeftilide.
