Does anyone know how to find success rates for different facilities

or doctors concerning rf ablations? I would like to know where the

top docs are located.

Thanks

Here's my take on your question. I'm post PVA July 02'.

The top spot in the USA is the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Natale. His associates

are also top shelf. Beyond that, there are several excellent Hospitals and

Doctor's doing cutting edge PVA's.

Mass. General- Boston

Duke Univ. Med. Center- NC

Mayo Clinic- Minneapolis

Univ. Ok. Med Center.- Ok.

Univ. Alabama Med Center.

Univ. Michigan Med. Center

Marin General Hospital- Ca.

Brigham & Women's Hospital- Boston

Beth Israel Deaconess Med. Center- Boston

I believe there are also excellent facilities in Pittsburg and Philadelphia.

If I left any out, I apologize.

Thanks. I have had one ablation at the Mayo and am headed for another.

Just wondering if they really were in the " top " docs.

Hi,

One I would add to the list is Dr. Jie Cheng, St. Luke's in Houston,

Texas.

Also and aside here, I think the best doctors/facilities are those

that actively involved in research and publishing of their findings.

I know Dr. Cheng has presented papers he's written and I believe he's

working on another.

Debra,

What happened that you need another ablation. I am considering going to Mayo

for a second opinion sometime soon. Can you recommend a doctor? Thanks

My first ablation did not stop the atrial flutter. I am beginning to think

many people have more than one ablation. (Reading the message boards.)

Anyway, I see Dr. Packer at Mayo.
