I used to buy that bread years ago when I was about a block away from a

health food store. I'll look into it.

Thanks,

April

If you are in the N. Calif area you can probably also get Grindstone Bakery

products. They soak all of their grains and also use various cultures (eg

sourdough) Their bread is very dense but tasty. And healthy. It is a smallish

operation so I don't think they ship countrywide.

Ezelial Bread, as most breads, have soy in it. I've been eating Spelt

with no yeat and no soy.

Would like to get off all grains though but fail every day.

Not all Ezekiel bread has soy. Read the label.

April and ,

Alvarado Street Bakery makes several organic sprouted breads without

soy as a main ingredient, including sourdough whole wheat. Whole

Foods sells it and you may be able to ask for it at other HF stores.

Their bread is made in California. It is very dense and I don't eat

it often, but it has good flavor. It does have soy lecithin listed as

one of the last ingredients :( - but there shouldn't be much.

Grains and sugar are quite closely related. Eliminating them together makes

it easier... just make sure that you are eating/drinking plenty of fats, and

nutrient dense (high brix) foods.

being a person who is sensitive to most wheat breads (never have made

my own from homemade ground & soaked wheat, maybe someday!), i have

always done very well with the Ezekiel brand sprouted breads.

i also like Earthseed brand manna bread, the multi-seed variety is

really tasty, i love it crumbled into salads. i'm pretty sure they

are made from sprouted grains as well.

my 2 cents ... have fun experimenting!

I eat the Ezekial bread and the manna bread also. There is another brand (I

can't think of it now.) of sprouted sourdough bread that I like even better

that I usually buy if they have it. Our local health food and supplement

place is very small and they don't have a huge selection. Whenever I make a

trip to Denver, I always try to get to Wild Oats to get things I can't get

here.
