Hi , Nothing wrong with a 6.2. You're doing great. Thanks for that reminder to everyone about a mammogram. Mine is scheduled for next month. In fact, when I get my mammogram, the one for the next year is scheduled at that time. Hugs Eunice

Guest guest
We've found that a few folks are short on the Bs... so the info that you shared was definitely interesting. With the Free T3... a good number of folks feel best with the T3 in the upper part of the range... so your problems may still be insufficient thyroid hormone and/or poor conversion. If your stomach acid is low it may been that low absorption or fluctuating absorption is an issue for you.. in that case it may indeed be of special benefit to you to switch to natural thyroid, with it your body doesn't have to have the stomach acid to remove that sodium molecule... Don't give up... you'll figure out what your body needs... and there ain't nothin' wrong with keeping your service provider (doc) on his toes! *grin* Topper () On Fri, 22 Oct 2004 14:03:50 -0000 "dawn prince" writes: Hi everyone,Well, got the test results last night and the Free T3 is 4 range 2.3-5.7. so smack dab in the middle. All the other tests were about the same with the exception of TIBC, UIBC & iron which in 5 months went down badly. I asked if there had been any test for thyroid antibodies and he said that was done in the beginning and that it was most likely positive then. At the moment he is at a loss as to why I am not as well as I should be so he will be sending me to an internist. The dr. is listening to me finally and realizes that when he talks I investigate. My B12 is not good so he started injections last night and have to go back each month. Came home and hit the puter to find out more about this and why I have it now. The symptoms are fatigue, depression, muscle weakness, confusion, memory problems, disorientation, neurological impairment, nerve function, loss of food conversion (this includes people 50+, those with H'pylori, ulcers, chrohn's, other gastric disorders). People that take meds for epilepsy, gout and chronic hearturn. Everyone has the H'pylori bacteria but not all are affected by it, I was 10 years ago and it gave me an ulcer and was medicated for it and then for awile was on Losec. Later the pulmonary specialist put me back on it to prevent any kind of gas to help lung function so now I have less gastric juices. I read Toppers' comments about needing these juices to convert the synthroid and guess I don't have that much anymore. Sometimes the cocktail of drugs that we have to take, have some strange repercussions don't they? The good benefits of B12 is for the production of DNA & RNA, improves the immune system, and can lessen the ringing in the ears (tinnitus).Hope I haven't bored you all but I found so much info that made sense. With thyroid probems making our immune systems weaker, the lack of B12 could make things even worse and some of the medical things said that even those that test fine would benefit from taking a little extra. PLEASE RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF these are just my observations and this is just something for you to think about.Dawnp.s. Tony (hubby) thinks that I am intimidating the dr.1 for us!!!!! Guest guest
Harry, the " normal " range often has to do with differing chemical that are used in a particular lab, as well as the equipment. Therefore what is done in one lab " normal " may mean 4-6 and in another the same blood sample would come oout as 5-7. Re: test results Now let me see... Do I want to use a lab that has a " normal range of 7.0-8.0 or do I want to use one that uses a range of 6.0-7.0 or do I want to use one that uses a range nearer 5.0-6.0. My oh my what do I do? Standards are a confusing thing, and of course any lab should be allowed to choose its own standards. The problem then becomess what lab to choose? ly, I would like to pick a lab that uses a standard that every body can agree upon. Now which one is that? test results >> >> >>> Went to the endo today and he gave me my test results: >>> >>> A1C 6.2 (went up slightly from last time) >>> >>> Total cholesterol 157 >>> >>> HDL 69 >>> >>> LDl70 >>> >>> Triglycerides 131 >>> >>> Creatinine 2.3 (better than last week) >>> >>> Weight is slight down from last time >>> >>> >>> >>>

Guest guest
Hi : Keep your chin up. With all of your hard work you'll get there. Guest guest
, All kidding aside we should all be very grateful for what we do have. The very bottom line is that no matter how hard we work to stay healthy things do come up and we just have to thank God for the gifts that He gave us. Just being able to live a reasonably " normal " lifestyle is a blessing as lots of folks do not have that luxury because they have been injured in an accident. Well, if it makes you feel any better I will rephrase my statement by saying that the chronological advancement process does take its toll on various parts of our frail body... Cy, the Chronologically Advanced Okie... Re: test results Good going . I encourage you to strive for an A1C nearer the normal range of 4.2-5.2. test results > Went to the endo today and he gave me my test results: > > A1C 6.2 (went up slightly from last time) > > Total cholesterol 157 > > HDL 69 > > LDl70 > > Triglycerides 131 > > Creatinine 2.3 (better than last week) > > Weight is slight down from last time > > > >
Guest guest
Yes, I understand the normal range is established by each particular lab. Do they use standards in determining the glycation rate, which is quite different from a lab's normal range? test results >>> >>> >>>> Went to the endo today and he gave me my test results: >>>> >>>> A1C 6.2 (went up slightly from last time) >>>> >>>> Total cholesterol 157 >>>> >>>> HDL 69 >>>> >>>> LDl70 >>>> >>>> Triglycerides 131 >>>> >>>> Creatinine 2.3 (better than last week) >>>> >>>> Weight is slight down from last time >>>> >>>> >>>> >>>>
