Guest guest
Hi Gossimer, I just get mine at a health food store. There is one close to my work and I get their adrenal glandulars there. It's helped me to the point that I am ready to see how I do on less than what I have been taking. Debgossimerwingz wrote: Hi,I am pulling a blank here.Where do you all get your Adrenal support? Is there a place where you can buy a bottle of 1000 count of Isocort? Guest guest
Someone probably ordered a yr's supply of the stuff, or rather several someones. It's probably only temporary. Either that, or they're laying low like certain ones of the online pharmacies that are getting a major attack from a certain pharmaceutical company. MyRxForLess is gone, poof! Of course, I know these aren't prescription drugs, but they've been after them before. Re: Adrenal support I just went and looked at Nutri-meds... Guest guest
, how does nutri-meds brand dose compare to real armour dose? Is it something I could easily make the switch to. Guest guest
I did some calculating and the nutri-meds brand cost 60% more than armour did at Myrxforless. This would not an option unless everyone else goes out of business. Thanks , Chris > It's roughly two tabs of Nutri-meds per grain of prescription grade. It's > not as strong. Guest guest
I know.. it does come out to be more expensive.... Their pluses, though, are that they are in the US so there are no customs issues... and because they are not selling 'medicine' but only 'supplements' they are not controlled by the FDA. Having a fall back is a good thing to have... MyRXforless pretty much shut down over night.... we need to be aware of other options. I don't think any of us want to be out of meds. Me.... I don't want to sound like a nut case.. but I'll not go through another period of time without meds... I couldn't walk without crutches or stand for more than a few minutes at a time. It was a very scarry and painful time for me... something I just can't face again. I once spent three days sitting in this chair, no food, no water, I just sat here - because I hurt so bad that I didn't want to get up, not even to go to the bathroom. Okay... not going to think about that stuff... I'm more knowledgeable now. I know how to care for myself now and I finally have enough energy to tell folks to go fly a kite (see? nice family friendly language - I was a truck driver, trust me I speak far more colorfully!! hehehehe) Topper () On Sun, 21 Nov 2004 18:16:08 -0000 "" writes: I did some calculating and the nutri-meds brand cost 60% more than armour did at Myrxforless. Guest guest
I've been on isocort adrenal support since September. I"ve gone down from 6 tablets a day to 4 as my Armour dosage has increased. I'm now up to 1 gr of Armour, and would like to cut back more on the isocort. I'm a bit concerned about the relationship between cortisol and progesterone which I'm already low in. I understand they compete for receptor sites. Since I'm trying to combat estrogen dominance, I'm not sure staying on the cortisol long term is wise. I do feel I received a benefit from taking it. Should I continue to taper off, and see how I'm feeling on just Armour alone? What symptoms would let me know I may still need to be on it?
