Guest guest
Dear Lynn: Gene has complained about sleepiness and his ankles are swollen quite a bit throught the holidays. Prior to PLS he was on high blood pressure medication (still is). Our regular doctor prescribed some diuretics for him. With them he has to go to the bathroom about once every hour even through the night. Of course when we can't figure something out, he blames it on Zanaflex. He stopped taking the Zanaflex but then became stiffer so he takes it and complains about it. He also takes Bacoflen, which has helped from the beginning and he has had no side effects from it. Did you have a salty diet prior to the swelling. Also, where you riding (plane or car) and have not had much movement? I would talk to your doctor. You can't blame everything on PLS. Even though we like to. It could be something simple or serious that your doctor could correct. --Dollie >From: skunkygolfer@... >Reply-To: PLS-FRIENDS >To: PLS-FRIENDS >Subject: SWELLING >Date: Sun, 30 Dec 2001 08:47:49 -0700 (MST) > >I have a problem, that I think somebody maybe able to answer. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, Flying can cause swelling but it should be gone by now if that was it. I'd do as Bonnie suggested and call your doctor if is has persisted this long. I don't think it is PLS related. Let us know what you find out. Guest guest
My swelling is/was caused by my thyroid problem and my diabetic medication. It, for me, is a combo thing including leg swelling from Actos which is a medication for my diabetes. My face tends to swell often in the lower lip chin area which is funny looking and not the typical moon face look. a

Guest guest
Hi, I am wondering what might be a cause and/or multiple causes of facial swelling upon waking? As well as upper limb swelling? Gossimer and yes I am having a brain fog day and for the life of me I can't remember the causes that I think I knew a couple of weeks ago....sigh...does this ever lift???? I think I need a nap.................................................................. ...................................................................... ...................................................................... ........................................
