Joyce,

I called Apria this morning to tell them about the faulty portable unit...I was told "you are not supposed to have them anyway". I again, told then I had a copy of the order from the Dr. I started to explain everything that has transpired again and decided it was just not worth it. I really need to get out of this house but I am afraid to because I only have the one unit and NO backup. I also asked about an oxymizer. I asked why I was never told about this before and this was their reply .."No one ever wants one and so we figure we dont need to stock one..we will check on finding one in the other stores but dont hold much hope". I get so very tired to this. They come to refill my big tank in the garage next Monday. Maybe they will send one along. I have a call into Cigna again. You know, I contacted Apria's corporate people 4 times before...only get lip service.

Grrrrrr....

I have spent the entire morning aggrivating myself with this 02 situation again. I have been e-mailing with Apria and calling the doc. I have a doc appt to go to shortly but if I get time, I will call Cigna and see if they have anyone working there with an IQ over 60.

Apria manager says they have ordered the oxymizer, that is reassuring....the last thing they ordered took 5 weeks. They are waiting for a reply about liquid 02 plus back up tanks. That could be an endless wait. I am waiting for my doctor to call back. He will be in a fine mood! He hates when things don't get done.

If I end up in the hospital because of low 02, I wander which would have been the cheaper route for Cigna. All the red tape should be used for toilet paper. This is urgent....at least for me. It is urgent when I am bent over at the waist trying not to pass out, when I am sucking air, when my heart feels like it will explode, etc.

Now, I have to go see the heart doc....dragging those big mama tanks. I think old Edna is gaining weight. I dropped her trying to pull her out of the car the other day. Sounded like a bomb exploded. I was so scared that I had broken the regulator.

Later my 4 year old twins will be here for thier birthday bash. Oh Lord, give me strength!

Hugs, Joyce
