Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like you have no confidence in your doc so maybe you should ask around and see if there is someone that you will feel more comfortable with. Sometimes you just need to get plain mad at them (I did) and suddenly I was being listened to. We can be our own worst enemy by letting them assume that we are stupid, ignorant and have no ability to understand a single thing that they are saying. Make notes of how you feel and insist that he/she hear you and get you the appropriate tests. If one wont do that then, go to another until someone listens, I know that I was about to do that but he got the message that I wasn't accepting the same old, same old any more. It is your life and you deserve a good one the same as they have. One thing I did notice was that when I said that I was in a support group it made a difference because they know that we are being proactive about our condition. Good luck and we are all here for you. Guest guest
Hi, Thanks. I need to find somebody else. This doctor just isn't cutting it. I would love to go back to my old doctor, but I could never get into appointments once they moved. She's a great doctor, though. She always knew what was wrong with me. This doctor knows nothing. Even in January when I had the flu, I was " forced " to go to the doctor. It was during the New Year holiday and I went later than I should have. He thought I had a cold. Not when you feel like you would rather die than suffer. I might be luckier just pulling a name out of a hat. Maybe I'll do that. I know telling him I don't believe him won't work. He just doesn't have enough experience. I'm going to get some B12 and try that. In addition I think I have a sinus infection again. I just got over one in August and was on the 4,000 mg/day antibiotics. Those weren't fun. I'd rather not go there. > > > B12 shortage, in our cases, is usually connected with the low > > metabolism of > > > hypothyroidism, though it can be caused by antibodies of Celiac > and such > > > attacking the receptor sites in the gut for this nutrient > (another > > > autoimmune disease), Pernicious Anemia, which is a permanent > > condition. Guest guest
Hi , If you're going to take the B12 take it along with all the other B's as they work better that way. I take a B complex which includes 12 as well as all the others and some others including folic acid. Would you be able to contact your old doc and ask for a referral to someone else? Or even friends and family may know someone that you would have some confidence in. Use your network, the phamacist, local hospital even on the internet I found doc's in my area and they also gave their background. Everyone that you meet is potentially a huge resource of information, all you have to do is ask. Good luck, you can do it!!!
