Guest guest
Bad thyroid levels can cause anxiety and panic attacks, paranoia and the pains that you described... it's still good that you went in, to make sure that it was not your heart... hyperthyroid puts a lot of stress on your heart, too... so safer is better.. but that doc can blow it out his behind saying that it's NOT thyroid... it is... I had the same problems... Hang in there... I'll type this slow... to make sure that you don't miss it... YYOOUU AARREE NNOOTT CCRRAAZZYY Got it... you're not.. so there!!! I'm too embarrassed to tell the stories of stuff I did when I was in storm... It's like my brain would leave my body and I'd be running on pure emotion and adrenaline, it's a wonder I wasn't shot or something... Guest guest
It's your body reacting to the excess stimulation. Our bodies give us warnings to slow down and take it easy.... It takes time, but with patience you begin to recognize when your body needs your attention. Some things we are used to. Feeling cold means we need to warm up, wait too long and our teeth start to chatter and we shiver. If you are hungry it's time to eat, wait too long and you can get nauseous, growling tummy, dizzy.... You still need to be aware. You don't want to totally ignore symptoms and assume it's just a thyroid thing... but as you get more accustomed to what your body is doing and how it is reacting you'll be less anxious.... I'm not belittling you... so, please, don't misunderstand... I just want you to be aware, you're new to some of this and still learning. I hope to introduce you to things as you go through things. Some you're bound to pick up on your own.. but by my saying this stuff it will also help others in the group if they spot something that they never really put together before.... Much of what we do here is to share our stories and experiences and allow others to learn from us... it's amazing what profound things I've picked up from learning from others experiences.... Guest guest
Hang in there , and as says.. You are not going crazy. I know exactly what you are going through. I too have numbness, but it's my whole left side of my body, even my face gets droopy. I have had many, MANY tests done and they have found nothing.. all tests come back normal. Panic attacks kinda go with the teritory, and even though I am still having them now, I can reassure you that once they get you regulated on meds, you will find that these chest pains, and numbness will subside. If they don't keep calling the doctor..As my friends on here have told me " be a sqeaky wheel " and If you are not sure how to do that, they will teach you how to be one..lol.. I too thought I was going crazy, and my doctors wouldn't listen and also thought I was going crazy. Here to find out that it was indeed the thyroid. So stick to your guns, grin and bare it, hang in there and get better. Keep us posted on how you are doing.. Guest guest
I had chest pains too and went to the ER too when I was dipping into hypothyroid levels. I'm sure I am just one of many. That's what finally convinced my doctor to start treating me, instead of the " wait and see " approach. My endo. said it was my TSH levels and started treating me with Synthroid. The chest pains and shortness of breath went away after two weeks of taking Synthroid. I still felt really lousy and depressed though and switched to a doctor who would give me Armour. I'm a little better now but still not even close to 100%. I, for one, know you're NOT crazy.
