Are there any natural remedies that will reverse the effects of a receeding gum???? Would heavy dosing of Butter Oil and CLO help reverse this??? > > (I PROMISE this is my last question for....today....) :-) > I personally have noticed that healing clays like Pascalite and Redmond Clay seem to have helped my gums. You may also be brushing a little too hard at the gumline. Letting some unrefined sea salt dissolve in your mouth and swishing the liquid around after it dissolves seems to help. I have heard that brushing gently with cayenne pepper helps gums recover. There are also some essential oil remedies. Swishing with various different oils like sesame and coconut seem to work. Avoid sweet foods when you can. mike
Guest guest
> > Hellp! > > I have a tooth that has been decaying for teh past several months. I can not afford a dentist right now. On and off again, I have been treating it with whey. Last year, I read on GFCFNN about a list member there who had success treating her receding gums with Neem Oil. I think she chews neem bark regularly now. Anyway, I've had receding gums and gingivitis for most of my life (my dentist always said that I had wonderful teeth, and I'll be able to keep them for my whole life as long as I start flossing and stop brushing so hard). I learned to grin and bear it through that terrible 'pocket-depth' analysis. So, I did the bare minimum and found some toothpaste with neem oil in it about three months ago. I haven't been to the dentist in about 4 years, since that last comment was made). I just had my appointment a couple weeks ago, and both the technician and dentist remarked at how healthy my gums were. They said the same for my DH, who had been moaning and groaning about how his teeth were going to be cavity-riddled because I took away his beloved fluoride. Now, he's singin' the " I love Neem " song. They didn't even test our 'pocket depths,' and to boot, my gums don't bleed when I floss anymore! Amy (who has no financial interest in neem oil, other than the money it's going to save her at the dentist)

It was at my health food store. It is TheraNeem Herbal Neem Toothpaste. There is a website listed on the tube: www.organixsouth.com . Ingredients (some of them I wouldn't take in my food, but since I spit it out and use very, very little each day...): Calcium carbonate, Sorbitol, Aqua (water?), Glycerine, Silica, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate (derived from naturally occuring amino acid), Xylitol, Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum, Supercritical Extracts of Grapeseed, Licorice, Fennel, Clove Bud, Neem Leaf and Neem Bark, Peppermint Essential Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Spearmint Essential Oil, Ascorbic Acid. This is probably why the other person just chews the neem bark!! Amy
Guest guest
Try making your own with neem powder and and oil you love, just simmer very gently on the stove in a double boiler for approx. 3 hours and you can even then put it in the hot sun for some incredible energy with intention..Squeeze out the oil with cheesecloth and voila..Dee ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
