I grow them too, I plant them in a large tub and they grow up 's old climber that he can't use any more, so I don't have to hunt around on the ground for them. Works great. One year I planted them along the fence near a tree and I picked cukes out of the tree. Jessie
Guest guest
She favors hamburger dills and zesty dills--does care for the sweet type, but will eat them in a pitch with less enthusiasm. Do the bread and butter have less sodium? Guest guest
Have checked home made ketchup recipes and they contain vinegar. Summer season is ahead of us and I will try to see if some of them work without vinegar or if there is a way to make them close to the original taste (maybe lemon juice would do, but I'll have to test). Guest guest
Jeff (DH) reminds Nick constantly that in our house Ketchup isn't a vegetable! Nick gets very upset if we run out of it! I will admit he usually doesn't use it on everything. The one food he does use it with that perplexes me is ham. Oh Well. Cari

Guest guest
Dear Alley, Bad news on the melanoma, but good news on no radiation. In pathology-ese, that tells me that the lesion " had finite edges with no surrounding invasive material. " I'll pray that that's the last one you see. Hugs, Anne ketchup Hi folks! I'm out of the hospital. My melanoma returned in my right leg lymph node, where I'd already had a couple removed. I had surgery monday and now have a drain in my leg and am off my feet for a few weeks. Good news is I don't need radiation or treatment this time. Hope you are all well! Guest guest
I have a question on ketchup. I was making ketchup the other day and you know how it says in NT to leave it out for 2 days well, I forgot about it like I do every other time I ferment something and left it out for four days. I don't mind if it will taste funny, I just don't want to eat anything harmful. Any takers on this one?
Guest guest
Here is a traditional foods recipe, you will have to cut back the sugar yourself though, that is part of what makes ketchup, ketchup. http://nourishedkitchen.com/homemade-ketchup/ As a person who has struggled with candida for many years I can commiserate. But, I healed my candida with raw foods (including raw animal foods) and now I can tolerate wayyyy more sugar, even refined, than I ever could before. So there is hope! Still, the less sugar I ate over the years, the more sensitive my tastebuds became and the less sugar I needed for the same taste benefit. The amount of sugar most people use in their daily life blows my mind now. And it's amazing because those same foods would be just as enjoyable if people would reduce sugar from their diet overall, everything will taste sweeter, same with salt.
