Guest guest
Deanna, this reminds me of Thanksgiving at my house 2 years ago. I had about 20 people coming over and had just set the dishes on the tables for a formal dinner, when my neighbor down the road called to ask if she could send her daughter over to get some water because for some reason, they had none. Being the kind person that I am, I filled SEVERAL water containers/coolers for her. Not long after I sent her out the door with MANY gallons of water, my water pressure dropped to nil. Apparently, it was a water main problem. The only reason that my neighbor ran out first is because she is further down at the end of the water line. I was able to catch my parents before they left their house, so they filled all of their water coolers and containers and brought them along for handwashing, etc. Needless to say, I put the real dishes away and set out the disposable "china". I'm glad that you had a wonderful day with your family... and really glad that you had electricity when you got back home! (((hugs))) Janet ----- Original Message ----- From: Glaze, Deanna/Larry We awoke Christmas morning appx. 5:30 a.m. when our electricity went off!! Since we have an all-electric house and our water pump is electric, we had no power and no water. And, it's cold - below freezing. Luckily we had planned to have Christmas at my Mom's house, and she had power. We ended up having a wonderful day with the kids and grandkids and came back to a house that had nice, warm electricity running. This will be a Christmas to remember. Thankfully, we didn't have snow, but our daughter in Angleton had 6".
