Guest guest
Hi Debbie, The tablet does not have a impression/score, however, if you have a pill spliter they slice pretty easily. I never tried using a knife on them, I suppose that they would cut with a sharp knife. Now, to make it an easy shippment, I have heard that orders get over the boarders easier, without drawing attention by the boarder inspectors, by limiting the order to 3 months or less supply per shipment. ie. I have limited my purchases to 3 bottles of whatever the dosage level is...3 x 3 grains... I'm not sure about shipments into Canada as I live in the states now. One thing that I have found it that the more items I order, the longer it takes for the order to arrive. My last shipment took 3+weeks to arrive (normally it takes only 2 weeks or less) and it had been stapled closed...I had not received a stappled close package from them before...makes one think that it was looked at but not held because everything in the package was legal-no controled pain pills or such. Just an antibiotic along with my generic Armour. Thus the package was twice the size as normal. Gossimer <snip> > > I did have a question about the generic armour from Mexico. Guest guest
Well, some things to ponder... when you do a dosage adjustment your body had to do some adjusting too, right after a dosage change, for me, I noticed an increase in temp for a few days, I THINK that might show that after a dosage change the body does have quite a bit of adjusting to do....temp goes up which suggests more muscle activity, when you take into consideration that muscle movement creates heat, cause us to sweat during exercise and to warm up when cold. Might it be possible that your body was just acting up a bit under what it perceived as something more than what it was used to? I'm not sure.. just thinking out loud. I know I'm one to look for patterns, it's a good way to figure cause and effect. See what happens over the next several days. Question...what time(s) of the day to you dose and when do you do your exercise? As for splitting tabs... I have no problem quartering the two grain generics... I've not had the chance to see a 1 grain yet. I happen to use a single edge razor blade to split my tabs.. the trick that I've found - no matter which pills I'm splitting, is to keep in mind that you are splitting, not cutting. I press the blade down (keeping finger tips clear) and split.... if you try to cut they crumble. If you can't get them to quarter, there is an alternative... when you do a dosage increase, take the next 1/2 grain every third day, or every other day for a while... let your body adjust to that... when you feel you are ready... then increase to everyday... get the idea? I've had to do that a couple of times... As for ordering... the law says that you can order up to a 90 day supply for personal use... but when you are self medicating only you know what your daily dose is... I did walk much slower, trying to be mindful of not overdoing. Ever since I've been on thyroid meds, a loss of muscle toneness andfeeling is one of my first signs of when I'm having problems. I'vewalked for years. So I don't know if this is a good sign ... or a bad one that it'shappening so quickly after changing my dose. Unless it's because ofsome other reason. My husband says I always worry about something! Ithink I'm just trying to find a pattern -- when one probably doesn'texist because conditions were different then.I did have a question about the generic armour from Mexico. Is the 1grain pretty easy to split 4 ways into 1/4 grain? I'm trying tofigure out what to order so I can adjust as I need to. Others havesaid you can order as many as you want. I'm just not sure how much isappropriate to go for.Debbie
Guest guest
you know what I discovered with my sons meds, try using a pair of small scissors to cut pills, works super!!! Guest guest
Thanks Gossimer. AS this is my first time ordering, I wasn't sure what to expect. Guest guest
Very interesting things to think over. I'm watching things closely -- too closely, my husband says! -- and recording them on my symptoms chart. Some day it would be nice to give that up! I'm thinking of ordering the 2 grain, and then some 1 grain to do my increases with. By the time I get these, I'll probably have used up my supply here and will hopefully be up to 2 or 2 1/2 grains already. I'm such a tightwad that I want to order the biggest sizes I can for the biggest bargain! But I guess it's not really a bargain if I can't split them for what I need during this adjustment time! Thanks again - Debbie > Well, some things to ponder... when you do a dosage adjustment your body > had to do some adjusting too, right after a dosage change, for me, I > noticed an increase in temp for a few days, I THINK that might show that > after a dosage change the body does have quite a bit of adjusting to > do....temp goes up which suggests more muscle activity, when you take > into consideration that muscle movement creates heat, cause us to sweat > during exercise and to warm up when cold. > > Might it be possible that your body was just acting up a bit under what > it perceived as something more than what it was used to? > > I'm not sure.. just thinking out loud.
