Guest guest Posted December 28, 2001 Report Share Posted December 28, 2001 Hello all, My name is and I am 26 yrs old and found out that I had diabetes last year when I was pregnant with my daughter. Yesterday I started feeling ill and so I decided to check my sugar and it was 254. I checked it several times last night and it would only move a few points. My fasting sugar today is 251. I don't have insurance which is one of my biggest problem. I was wondering if anyone knew of any services that offer help. My husband works two jobs so that I can stay home with our daughter. He makes to much for public asst. and not enough to pay what the insurance companies want. I can use all the help I can get, I am feeling very scared,depressed and ill! I want to be healthy and strong for my little girl ( who is only 8 months) but I just feel so crappy. I do not know that much about diabetes because they treat it different when your pregnant and I was just diet controlled until the end then they placed me on glybrided (sp). Then I lost my insurance and I have been just trying to to keep under control with diet. But I think the holidays had a toll on me. Any my husband is really on my case about it (He's a Firefighter/EMT) and so today I'm going to try to find some way to get help.
