You've got me with this one... I've never really looked into hair analysis much... I know that it's said to be an accurate way of telling what your body is going through.... but what all the levels refer to.... ??????

High levels of mineral causing hypo? Hmmmmm... have they checked your antibodies and thyroid levels? What do they look like?

This will be interesting, I think.... I can see mineral imbalances due to hypo.. the body not functioning properly.. but I can't say with any certainty that toxic levels of anything won't cause thyroid malfunction either....

Any of your family members have thyroid problems? Anyone with Hashi's in the family?

I am hoping to get some suggestions regarding my hair analysis results. It states that I have very high levels of copper, calcium and sodium in my hair. The results state that this is a cause of my hypothyroidism. It gives a whole list of vitamins that I should take in order to get these levels down and balanced. Has anyone here heard of these minerals being linked to hypothyroid? If so where can I get more information regarding this and how to correct it. My reports are pretty indepth but are a little more indepth than I can understand. It also states that I probably have a food allergy but doesn't say exactly to what. It says that my copper toxicity could be caused by aluminum deoderant and/or cosmetics. At least these are the only two out of a list that are applicable to me. About 3 months ago I changed to natural deoderant but unfortunately to me (and the people around me LOL!) it didn't work. I tried several brands. Anyway, I have went to Tom's buffered aluminum antipersperant. I changed to all natural mineral makeup with no preservatives in January so I don't think it is that. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Let me know if you need more information, I just didn't want this to be too long. Thanks for you help.

Hi !

Where did you get this done? Well I think it takes longer than

January to have an effect. I've read any changes take years for it

to not show up in your hair.

Tish,

I don't have alumiunum cookware. I have stainless steel. I don't

drink much soda at all and when I do it usually isn't from cans. I

do however eat a lot of cheese. An awful lot. Don't think baking

powder, or sodium aluminum phosphate are a problem but I know they

could be in foods that I don't know about. I don't like pickels and

I don't use antacids at all. Maybe some flours possibly. Thank you

so much for opening my eyes to see where I could be getting my

copper and aluminum from. I hadn't thought about any of these

things except the cookware and soda cans.
