Guest guest
Hmm, well here it goes. Yesterday, I tried talking to someone at the Rose where all of my diagnostic work was done as they also do breast Ca treatment. I was referred to a particular woman, got her voice mail and left a message. Then someone from billing called to discuss the money part of it and I corrected their misconception as to my insurance, yes, I have insurance. So she was going to give my folder to the same that I left a message with earlier. As the day worn, no call back so I tried again, got the answering machine and didn't bother to leave a message. I was in one of the offices I work from and she was saying what about MD , so I put a call in there. That man, who gets you started, said to have all pertinent info faxed to him immediately. So, today I called the Rose again and was told that was not in the office either yesterday or today and I said that maybe someone else could help me? And why didn't someone tell me that yesterday so that at least I would know not to expect a call. So then I received another call this time from Peggy who said that they were still thinking that I had no insurance and is the one that handles all the no insurance cases. Hmmm, no, I have insurance. Yep, we have that now. So now, I want some more info. So I am told that it is invasive ducal. It is 1.5 cm and a stage 2. Well this sounds like a huge improvement over what I had been thinking. Right after I spoke to her, the guy from MD called me back and I am feeling uplifted after getting relative good news. POP goes the bubble! He said that any time a cancer is more that 2 cm, they consider it a medicine case first. But I say. But he says, who did you talk to? What is her number? I will call you right back. So in a little while, Peggy called me back. Mainly to ask if I was also consulting with MD and I said yes, I would be getting an opinion from them. And never a word about the actual cancer. So when he called me back, I said that I was confused and he didn't want to say a lot because he is not a Dr but yes, the 5 cm area found on US is probably all cancerous and now I am back to square one, it is an advanced cancer it is going to be a rough ride. He also asked me, did she call you back? Well yeah, she did but she didn't correct any info. Dang, I wish people would just be straight with me from word go! Guest guest
If it was me, I would request a copy of all of your test results so you could read them. Also you could fax them to md . I then would take them to my md and have him/her explain it in layman terms if you don't understand it. I was lucky, my ex husbands sister was a doctor at the hospital where I had all of my test done and she was able to read all of my results for me and I didn't have to wait for my doctor. Carol Am I being too fussy? Hmm, well here it goes. Yesterday, I tried talking to someone at the Rose where all of my diagnostic work was done as they also do breast Ca treatment.
