Hi Crew & Friends,

Haven't read the Crew Digest, but I had a minute to check in with you and

decided to take the opportunity.

Thanks for all the well wishes sent to us before surgery and via the pager

email addresses. I'm sure there are many more I will be reading on the Digest

when I get an opportunity to do so.

and are doing well. tells us his ear has slightly

diminished hearing but only mild. That may be due to current swelling or the

nerve being temporarily " annoyed " . At any rate, he looks like a great

success story, no facial problems. He's tired and has mild headaches from

time to time. Told me this morning that he feels like somebody hit him

really hard-but just with their finger. The girls thought that was pretty

funny.

His first questions while he was coming out of anesthesia were repeated

inquiries of how was, was her surgery over, etc. He has been very

protective of her and tries to help her feel better when she is down or in

pain. I think sometimes he forget he was a patient too.

has has a little rougher time of it. She still has some hearing,

but it's fluctuating up and down. She has had several headaches. The Tylenol

with Codeine helps but the codeine makes her a bit weepy, plus the

fluctuating hearing I think has her a little scared. All in all, though, she

is recovering and I have high hopes that enough hearing will remain for her

to use her hearing aid and actually benefit from it as opposed to the

frustrating stage many of you have described of " almost being able to hear " .

We got to see and Chartrand both before and after surgery.

Took a group shot after the surgeries of , , and doing a

line-up with their " question marks " on the side of their heads. Then we took

a front shot of the three as well so it looks like police line-up pictures.

will post the pix on his site or somewhere if they come out.

It was wonderful visiting with the guys and we also enjoyed meeting and

visiting with Vick and Ann. Of course neither visit was long enough, but

better than nothing, eh?

Have talked to Gail Petito a few times but she has the flu or some other

plague and we haven't been able to get together because we had to be careful

to keep everyone well. Will also get together with and hopefully with

Lynn as well. I think we will get to see Gail before we go cuz she is

getting better.

This may be jumbled, I'm writing through a tired fog of a brain, but

wanted to give you a bit of an update and to thank you all for your prayers

and support. If you send us pager emails do remember to keep them short-2 or

3 sentences-or they get cut off before the end. We have showed the kids the

pager emails many of you have sent to encourage them. Some of your kids have

been in touch with and that has been great encouragement to her too.
