The general equivalency is 100 mcg synthetic to 1 grain natural.. so you are starting a tad under.. That will allow you to see how your body accepts the direct T3.. I do think you should be tested in the next 6 weeks or so to see what your levels are on the changed med.. that is standard procedure when changing brands OR dosages of thyroid hormone.. Check your basals daily to see how your body is doing... and if the numbers start dropping, you know that you need to increase your dose a bit.... IMHO, of course. I'll try beginning with the isocort, as I do have many of the symptoms of adrenal insufficiency. my armour dosage OK, I got my Armour today. The Dr. gave me a dosage of 1/2 grain a day. I was taking 75 mcg of levoxyl. Looking at a conversion chart, it would seem he's cut my dose in half. I'm now taking the equivalent of only 35-50 mcg of levoxyl. I'm also going to be taking isocort soon. Is this the dose I should be starting with? Isn't it too low? Or will it just work better?
