Guest guest
Hmm... that could be. I've been thinking about the progression of disease in my case, and I find it really interesting that western medicine doesn't seem to know how to deal with it. In retrospect, it seems pretty obvious that aggressive therapies such as chemo and radiation would cause subtle problems later on in life, but western medicine only knows how to deal with the big problems, such as watching for heart disease and doing x-rays, etc. It never occurred to anyone that I may develop problems related to inadequate adrenal function. But I guess hindsight is 20/20, and oncologists are used to saving people from certain death, rather than helping to fine-tune their health. Anyway... I had an intersting experience at my most recent visit to the naturopath. He used a therapeutic device called MORA on me. It's a machine that sends electromagnetic waves into your hands and feet via gold-plated " electrodes " . It doesn't hurt, and you barely feel it working. My naturopath said that it would give me more energy and lift my mood. Well 2 days later, I was feeling much much better. I was able to get through a whole day at work, get some work done, do some food shopping, come home and get dinner going, do some chores, etc. without being tired, except for 1 hour during the afternoon. I was able to be awake for a full day, going almost at full steam until 10 pm when I went to sleep, without feeling exhausted at all. I haven't felt like that in at least 2 years. It felt great. Friday was similar, but I tried to ease up on my activity level, I didn't want to burn myself out. Yesterday (Saturday) wasn't so good... I was full of aches and pains and less energetic, but that may have been PMS. Today is off to an auspicious start, and I hope that this new upswing continues. Anyway, just thought I'd mention this MORA therapy because it seems to have had positive results so far in my case. blithe P.S. If anyone here knows a bit about how MORA therapy works, I'd be really interested in hearing about it. I poked around a bit on the web, but there doesn't seem to be much technical information out there about how it works. > Blithe, as I read about you a thought came to mind... since you are > missing one adrenal it's VERY possible that the extra stress to your > thyroid to compensate for that caused it to conk out....
