Hello ,

MS> Then they simply need to put these things in their diet, instead of going

MS> without it.

eating processed foods with added iodine?

MS> This society and others have dreamed up so-called healthy diets

MS> that have depleted them of things that they MUST have, even in societies who

MS> have it all available. I just don't understand this.

not all soils are rich in idodine which is why iodine deficient goitre

used to be so common- and was named things like Derbyshire neck.

It is still very common in countries where iodated salt and extra salt

are routinely added to foods

MS> really need it. If there is an easy fix for it, why all the hype about kelp

MS> and other foods that are not as easily obtained?

people in scotland, ireland and scandinavia used to eat loads of

seaweed as well as sea foods but modern diets have changed .

these populations which now have high rates of thyroid problems used to

eat plenty of naturally iodine rich foods -its entirely possible that

iodine supplements aren't doing the trick the same way as sea weed and

sea foods
